LIONFISH

Pterois volitans

The Lionfish originates from parts of the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
The exact cause of how they got to the Atlantic Ocean is unknown people are suspected to have helped in the moving.
Other than the expanding population of Lionfish they also put stress on coral reefs,
for example Lionfish eat many Herbivores which eat algae and the agal growth doesn't do well for the reefs.

The anatomy of a Lionfish is interesting to say the least.
It has brown and white striped scales and long fins all around which make it look like a Lion's mane.
The most interesting fins are it's dorsal fins with the length of them but the spines in which are poisonous.
And these spines are very dangerous and can cause dizziness, nausea, and convulsion best to seek medical attention when stung.
